Agents That Ask Before They Act Are the Only Ones I Trust
The Muse security mess is the warning. Ask, don't assume.
Every week brings a story of an agent that did something it shouldn't. The Muse launch had flaws serious enough that Apple changed macOS settings to block it.
My rule now: an agent that can't show me the action before it takes it doesn't get the keys.
Asking first feels slower, and it is. But a wrong autonomous action costs more than the saved click.
The frameworks pushing 'agent governance' and 'allowed destinations' are late, but they're the right shape.
Trust is earned by agents that pause, not by agents that impress.
