GPT-6's Intelligent UI Is the First AI Feature That Actually Changed How I Work
I expected the Intelligent UI in ChatGPT to be a gimmick. It is not. When the answer streams a chart, a form, or a little calculator instead of a wall of text, I stop copying numbers into a spreadsheet like a caveman.
The part that surprised me is the form. I asked it to plan a trip and it handed me editable fields I could tweak, not three paragraphs I had to parse. That is the difference between an answer and a tool.
People will call it a party trick because it looks like one. But the shift is real: the model stopped just talking and started doing small, useful things inside the conversation. That is where assistants were always supposed to go.
The catch is trust. A chart the model draws is only as good as the data it pulled, and I still check the numbers. But for the 80 percent of questions where close enough beats perfect, it saves me a tab-switch every single time.
I am not impressed by demos. I am impressed by the thing I reach for without thinking now, and this one earned that.
