Fireflies vs Perplexity: I Picked Wrong Three Times

Marketing told me both of these are the best. They can't both be right.

I put Fireflies and Perplexity through the same meeting tasks last month instead of reading another ranked list.

Where they overlap, Fireflies auto-joins your calls and tags the action items. Perplexity answers with sources attached so you can check the claim. I kept both installed for a reason.

On price, Fireflies joins for free and bills $10 for search, while Perplexity is free with a $20 Pro tier. For someone who just wants it to work, that's the real decider.

Perplexity answers with sources attached so you can check the claim. Fireflies writes summaries that miss the one decision everyone cared about. Neither is broken; they argue about different things.

If you teams who never take notes on purpose, keep Fireflies. If you people who are done clicking ten blue links, Perplexity is the one. I landed on Fireflies after a week of switching back and forth.

My verdict stands until one of them changes the price.
