Everyone Picks Tome. I Kept Fireflies and Here's the Uncomfortable Why

I opened it, poked around, and shipped something before lunch. I came to Tome because weaves AI images into a narrative deck as you type. That part delivered.

The bit that confused me, Fireflies drops a searchable transcript into your CRM right after the call. called me 'the other guy'

Neither is clean. Tome export to PowerPoint mangles the layout. Fireflies tags speakers wrong when two people talk over each other. You feel both within a day.

My call: Fireflies for 'sales and standups you'll never re-watch' -- it's the one I trust there. Tome takes 'pitch decks that need visuals fast', where its quirk matters less. Plenty of people flip this; I didn't, because the failure mode of Tome costs me more.

It did the job and didn't make me think.
