Teal vs Kickresume: Job Tools That Don't Waste Your Time

Teal is the one I recommend to people actively applying. It tracks every application, saves the job posts, and scores your resume against each one. The tracking alone is worth it; most job hunts fall apart at the spreadsheet stage.

Kickresume is the prettier builder. Its templates look like a designer made them, and if your problem is "my resume looks like a Word doc from 2009," it fixes that fast.

The overlap is resume editing, and here Teal's matching feature is the differentiator: it tells you which keywords the posting wants. Kickresume's is the design: it tells you which layout looks hired.

Neither writes the resume for you in a way that survives a human reader. The AI drafts are fine starting points and obvious as AI if you leave them untouched.

If you are in the hunt right now, Teal. If you are polishing before you start, Kickresume. The tool that matters most is the one matching your stage, not your ambition.
