Kickresume and Tome Do the Same Job Differently (Pick by This)

If it needs three logins and a tutorial, it's already losing to the simple one.

I put Kickresume and Tome through the same resume tasks last month instead of reading another ranked list.

Kickresume builds a clean template that survives the robot screeners. Tome gives you less fine control when you want pixel precision - that gap showed up the moment I exported the file.

Tome tells a story with a narrative flow Gamma lacks. Kickresume sells an ATS score that mostly measures how much you paid. Neither is broken; they argue about different things.

On price, Kickresume asks $16 for the ATS checker, while Tome is free to start and $8 for teams. For someone who hates subscriptions, that's the real decider.

If you job hunters who want to look polished fast, keep Kickresume. If you founders pitching a vision, Tome is the one. I landed on Tome after a week of switching back and forth.

The score number is more theater than science. The page-turn transitions still feel fresh.

The one I automated around is the one I'll keep paying for.
