500,000 Agentic PCs Shipped and Almost Nobody Noticed
AMD says over half a million Agentic PCs are already out there. The software hasn't caught up.
AMD reported more than 500,000 Agentic PC units shipped, and Microsoft said Copilot+ PCs now do over two trillion local AI inferences a month. The hardware wave is already here, quietly.
What's missing is the killer app. We have Neural Processing Units in millions of laptops and very few tasks that actually use them without a cloud round trip.
That gap is the opportunity. Local models plus local silicon means agents that act without sending your data anywhere -- if someone writes the software to use it.
Don't buy an Agentic PC for what it does today. Buy it for the year of updates that might finally put the NPU to work.
