I Let Claude Edit My Google Docs and Stopped Copy-Pasting

Everyone in my feed swore by it. I was not so sure.

Anthropic's October 6 beta lets Claude create and edit Google files from chat, and ask-before-edit is the default, which is the only sane setting.

Turns out, The win is not the editing, it is not opening the doc. I describe the change, glance at the diff, approve, done.

Here is the thing, though: The risk is the same as any agent with write access: it edits what you meant, not what you said. I keep the version history open.
