I switched from Luma AI to Gamma and then back. The gap is real.

The honest comparison
I gave Luma AI and Gamma the same job neither was built exclusively for. I fell into both of these by accident and stuck around for different reasons.
Luma AI is makes video and 3d from text or a few images. What sold me is that it produces dreamy, believable motion from almost nothing. The part that annoys me is that it keeps the clips short and the renders slow.
Gamma is turns an outline into a slide deck in one go. Its edge is that it spits out a presentable deck before your coffee gets cold. The downside is just as real: it makes the templates look samey after you see ten of them.
Side by side, the same prompt through both, Luma AI got to something usable faster and Gamma did the better job on the part that needed presentation-level care. Neither embarrassed itself, which is rare.
Verdict: if your work leans toward video, keep Luma AI. If it's presentation you actually do all day, Gamma is the one to open first. Turns out the 'best' one is the one I actually opened the next day. That was the only real test.
