AI Tool Comparison
Midjourney vs Ideogram: Text in Images Is the Whole Fight
Most image models choke on words inside a picture. One of these two actually handles a sign that says what you typed.

Midjourney
Premium AI image generation for creators
Midjourney is a leading AI image generation tool widely used for concept art, design inspiration, and visual content creation.
Ideogram
AI image generator with strong text rendering
Ideogram is an AI image generator known for its ability to render readable text inside images.
The honest comparison
Ask Midjourney to put readable text on a poster and you get beautiful gibberish. Ask Ideogram and you get a poster with words you can read, which sounds minor and is actually the difference between usable and not.
For pure aesthetic, Midjourney is still the prettier one. Its images have a coherence and a lighting sense that Ideogram has not caught up to. If the words do not matter, Midjourney wins on looks every time.
But so much commercial image work is "make me a meme, a quote card, a book cover with the title on it." For all of that, Ideogram is the tool that does not make you fix the text in Photoshop afterward.
Ideogram is also easier to start. No Discord, a normal web app, sane controls. Midjourney rewards the obsessed and mildly punishes the casual user.
My split: concept art and mood, Midjourney. Anything with writing on it that a customer will see, Ideogram. The text handling alone justifies keeping both.
