Otter Writes the Notes. Zapier Files Them. The Combo Beat My Memory.

Otter joins the call and writes down what happened. Zapier takes that transcript and files it where future me can find it. For years I relied on memory and a messy notes app, and every quarter I rediscovered a decision nobody remembered making. The combo fixed that specific failure.

Otter's limit is that it captures but doesn't act. The transcript sits in Otter unless you move it. Zapier's limit is it can't listen. So the natural split: Otter for the ears, Zapier for the hands. Connect them and the note lands in the project folder before the meeting ends.

I set a Zap that sends each Otter summary to the right Notion page and tags it by client. Now 'what did we decide' has a one-click answer instead of a five-minute scroll. The tools don't compete; they're consecutive links in a chain I used to do by hand.

If you take few meetings, Otter alone is plenty. If you take many and forget them, Zapier is the half you're missing. Most people need the router more than they think.
