A Screenshot Beats a Paragraph of Prompt

I spent an hour describing a UI bug in words and got fixes that missed. Then I pasted a screenshot and the model found it in one try.

I spent an hour describing a UI bug in words and got fixes that missed. Then I pasted a screenshot and the model found it in one try. The picture carried what my paragraph lost.

This holds beyond bugs. Showing a design, a chart, a layout, gets you answers a description never will, because the model sees the thing instead of inferring it from your imperfect words.

The habit: attach before you explain. A screenshot plus one sentence beats three paragraphs plus no image. The context does the heavy lifting the prompt was faking.

It's humbling how often my long prompt was just a bad translation of an image I had open. The fix wasn't a better prompt; it was showing the source.

Next time you're stuck describing something, stop describing and show it. The model is better at seeing than at guessing what you meant.
