Claude reads like someone who actually wants to get your task right. It pushes back sometimes, which annoyed me at first and then saved me twice. Gemini reads like a very competent assistant who has read your files and wants to be efficient about it.
If your work lives in Google Workspace, Gemini is the lower-friction choice by a mile. If your work is writing, editing, or anything long, Claude is the one I would not give up.
Neither is the "fun" model. Both will occasionally refuse something the other would do. That is a feature if you value not publishing something dumb, and a nuisance if you are in a hurry.
