Der ehrliche Vergleich
People lump these together because both write. They sit at different moments. Claude is who I argue the draft with; Notion AI is who tidies the notes I already have.
I draft a messy page in Notion, then ask its AI to 'turn this into a clean summary with decisions.' It does, in place, no copy-paste. That proximity is the feature, it's already where my thoughts live.
But for the hard part, shaping an argument or catching the weak claim, I leave and open Claude. Notion's AI is a tidy-er, not a thinker, and pretending otherwise is how people ship shallow docs.
My setup: Notion AI for the in-flow edits, Claude for the thinking that matters. If you don't live in Notion, this is moot, get Claude. If you do, the note-taker earns its keep daily and the partner handles the rest.
