I generate a B-roll clip in Runway, then bring it into Descript to trim the awkward pauses and delete the 'ums.' Runway would never help me fix a take, and Descript would never invent a shot I didn't film. They sit on opposite ends of post-production.
The trap is expecting one to do the other's job. Runway's text-to-video is gorgeous but uncontrollable; Descript assumes you already have media. Using Runway to 'edit' or Descript to 'generate' leads nowhere fast.
