Synthesia vs ChatGPT: A Talking Head Isn't a Chat Window

ChatGPT can draft a training script. Synthesia can put a presenter on screen to read it. People compare them because both 'make video,' which is like comparing a pen to a camera.

For onboarding, Synthesia's avatar is absurdly fast: write, pick a face, ship, and updating later means editing text, not reshooting. ChatGPT can't put a human on screen, it can only hand you the words.

But the script is the actual work, and that's ChatGPT's job, or yours. A Synthesia video with a weak script is a polished nothing, and the avatar makes the emptiness more obvious, not less.

Write the script first, in ChatGPT or your own head, then let Synthesia deliver it. The face is a delivery mechanism, not a personality, and it won't save a script that had nothing to say.
