Stop Re-Rolling. Fix the One Broken Thing in Midjourney's Editor

A bad hand or a wrong sign ruins a great render. The editor can patch it without a full re-roll.

I used to re-roll an entire image because one hand looked like a root vegetable. Wasted credits, lost the composition I liked. Midjourney's editor lets you select the broken region and regenerate just that part, keeping everything else. It's the difference between a five-minute fix and starting over.

The workflow: upscale the image you mostly like, open the editor, brush only the offending area, and prompt the correction specifically. 'Fix the hand, keep the rest' beats 'regenerate' because the model now has a target instead of a blank canvas. Smaller mask, better result.

Where people go wrong is masking too much. A big selection tells the model to reinvent the scene, and you're back to lottery odds. Tight mask, tight instruction, one pass. If it's still wrong, nudge the prompt, don't widen the brush.

Re-rolling is seductive because it's one click. But the editor is how you keep the ninety percent that worked. Learn the mask and your credit bill drops as fast as your frustration.
