Notion AI Writes My Weekly Review So I Don't Have To

Every Friday I stared at an empty doc meant to summarize my week. Notion AI now reads my meeting notes and task list and drafts the review, and I edit instead of staring.

The prompt is boring on purpose: 'Summarize this week's notes into accomplishments, blockers, and next week's focus.' Boring works because it matches the structure I already wanted.

It occasionally claims a win I didn't have, so I fact-check the accomplishments line against my actual tasks. The draft is a starting point with opinions; I'm the editor, not the transcriber.

The win is momentum. Opening a blank page on a tired Friday is a wall; opening a 80% draft is a speed bump. Notion AI removes the wall and leaves the bump, which I can handle.

If weekly reviews keep slipping, stop writing them from scratch. Let the AI assemble the raw material and spend your energy on the one line that matters: what's next.
