My Weekly Industry Digest, Built by Perplexity
One question per theme, with sources, beats five newsletters. The digest is a filter, not a deliverable.
Every Monday I ask Perplexity for 'what changed in my industry this week, with sources.' It returns a dated list with primary links, which beats scrolling five newsletters.
I ask one question per theme, not one broad 'summarize everything,' because broad checks return broad mush. Narrow ones return the link I can actually cite.
I read the citations, not just the summary. Perplexity is good but not immune to a confident blend, and the linked source is where I verify the date and scope myself.
The digest isn't the deliverable, it's the filter. I skim it, then go deep on the two items that actually affect my work. The tool earns its keep by killing the noise.
