I Made Zapier Ping Slack the Second a Spreadsheet Row Changed

No more 'did you see the update?' messages. The bot sees it first.

Our team lived in a shared sheet and missed half the edits. I wired a Zap from the row to a Slack channel.

Trigger on updated row, filter to the column that matters, message the owner. Three steps, no code.

I added a filter so it only pings on the status column, not every typo someone fixes.

The first week it caught two stalled tasks nobody would have noticed until Friday.

The trap is over-alerting. I capped it to one channel or the noise kills the signal.

A research paper I'd been avoiding became a 25-minute walk. The workflow is dumb, and that's why it worked.

Not zero-inbox. A loop that decides what is real so I only touch email twice a day.
