Stop Asking One Chatbot to Do Everything

I had a default bot and forced every task through it. Coding, research, writing, all one tab. It worked, barely, and I blamed the model when the problem was the mismatch.

Different tools are good at different halves of a job. A chatbot thinks; a search engine cites; an editor polishes; an automation runs. Pushing one to mimic all of them makes it mediocre at each.

Routing by task sounds like overhead, but it's faster than fighting a tool doing a job it hates. Research with a citation engine, writing with a model, editing with a proofreader.

The loyalty habit is marketing, not productivity. The best setup I have is several tools, each used where it's actually good, none treated as a god.

Pick the right tool per step and your results improve more than any model upgrade would. Versatility is overrated when the alternative is fit-for-purpose.
