ChatGPT vs Tome: The Chatbot Writes the Words, the Scroll Makes Them Land

I had a story to tell and no slides, so I asked ChatGPT for a deck. It gave me an outline and a wall of text. Tome gave me something I could scroll.

ChatGPT is where the thinking happens, the points, the order, the one number that matters. But its idea of a 'presentation' is bullets, and bullets don't hold attention past slide three.

Tome takes those points and turns them into a cinematic scroll with images, which suits a narrative far better than a status grid. The catch is it's opinionated, and a pitch isn't a campfire story, so I cut sections it wanted to keep.

For an internal narrative, Tome. For the actual writing, ChatGPT. I stopped expecting one to do the other and the decks got shorter and finished more often.
