Otter Took My Lecture Notes So I Could Actually Listen

I stopped scribbling and started searching the transcript after. My recall got better because my hands were still.

In classes I used to type frantically and miss the point. Otter runs in the session, transcribes live, and I search it later for 'the formula' or 'the deadline' instead of guessing.

Telling the room it's recording also made the speaker clearer, people speak better when they know the words matter. A small behavioral shift with a real payoff.

It mangles the odd term, so I correct the key names once before quoting anything. A quick pass beats reconstructing a lecture from memory, which is what I did before.

If you learn by listening, stop note-taking and start searching. You'll hear more and remember it, because the pen was always competing with the ears.
