Animating a Logo in Runway Without Learning After Effects

A clean still and a three-second reveal is most of what a video open needs. Keep it short and export a full mark.

I needed a logo to feel alive for a video open and didn't want a motion-design course. Runway took a still logo and generated a slow reveal with light passing over it, which is most of what I wanted.

The input matters. A clean logo on a simple background animates cleanly; a busy one turns to soup. I exported the logo specifically for the move instead of reusing a random file.

Keep it short. Three seconds of reveal is a hook; ten seconds is a screensaver. I generate a few, pick the one where the logo stays sharp, and use it as the opener.

Don't expect it to invent detail it doesn't have. If the back of the mark isn't in the image, the move will fake it and sometimes badly. Shoot or export a clean full mark first.
