Claude Turns My Messy Notes Into Something I Can Actually Send
My meeting notes are a wall of half-sentences and arrows. Sending them as-is would confuse everyone.
My meeting notes are a wall of half-sentences and arrows. Sending them as-is would confuse everyone. I paste the mess into Claude with one instruction: 'Turn this into a clean summary with decisions and owners.'
The first time, it invented a decision I never made. So now I add 'only use what's in the notes, mark anything unclear as unclear.' That single line stopped the guessing and made the output trustworthy.
I keep the format consistent: bullets for decisions, a separate line for who owns what, a short 'next steps' at the end. Claude learns the shape after a few rounds and stops needing the full instruction.
It doesn't replace being in the meeting. It replaces the thirty minutes I used to spend rewriting the notes the next morning, half-remembering what we said. The memory is in the raw notes; the clarity is what Claude adds.
If your notes are unshareable, stop retyping them. Dump, instruct, send. The meeting was the work; this is just the receipt.
