I Fed Gamma a Messy Doc and Fixed the Three Things It Got Wrong

Gamma turns a doc into a deck fast. The first draft is 70% there and 30% wrong in predictable ways.

I dropped a messy two-page brief into Gamma and got a twelve-slide deck in under a minute. It was good enough to present and wrong in the ways decks are always wrong: too many words per slide, a conclusion that wasn't mine, and a chart it invented from a number I'd only mentioned.

The fix is editorial, not technical. I cut every slide to one idea, rewrote the closing to match what I actually believe, and deleted the fake chart, replacing it with the real one from the source. Gamma did the layout and the boring transitions; I did the judgment.

The trap is presenting the generated deck as-is. It reads as generated, which for an internal audience is fine and for a client is a tell. Ten minutes of editing removes the tell and keeps the speed.

If you make decks often, Gamma is a starting gun, not a finisher. Feed it the mess, take the structure, and rewrite the three things it gets wrong. That's the whole workflow.
