I Turned a Still Photo Into a 5-Second Clip in Luma and Almost Used It
Image-to-video turns a product shot into motion. The result looked custom enough to ship as a loop.
I had a flat product photo and needed a hero loop for a landing page. Luma's image-to-video took the still and added a slow push-in with a little steam off the cup, and the result looked like a shoot I didn't book.
The prompt is short and specific: 'slow zoom, gentle steam, soft light.' Vague 'make it cinematic' gave me a weird camera flip. Luma likes a single clear motion more than a mood word salad.
I almost used it as-is, then noticed the background wobbled for one frame. A five-second clip hides a lot, but that frame didn't, so I regenerated with 'static background' added. Second try was clean.
For a loop that plays on mute behind text, this is faster than filming. The photo does the heavy lifting; Luma just adds the breath. Don't expect a narrative, expect a moment that moves.
