Midjourney Made a Poster for the Movie in My Head
Midjourney made this faster once I stopped using it wrong.
I used Midjourney the way most people first try it — slowly, and with a lot of backtracking.
I tried to skip the setup. The setup turned out to be the whole point.
Step one is the boring part people skip: write down the exact output you want before you open the tool.
Then let Midjourney do the draft, but watch there's no native editor, you live in Discord.
The fix that mattered: check the one fact you'd be embarrassed to get wrong
What changed: still makes the most painterly, art-directed images Now it's a ten-minute job I don't dread.
Don't expect it to be fire-and-forget. The tool handles the volume; you handle the judgment. That split is the whole trick.
