Canva's AI Is Bolt-On, and That's Fine
People dump on Canva's AI features like they're the point. They aren't, and pretending they are misses why Canva wins.

Canva wins because it turns a blank page into a finished layout in minutes with a template library a non-designer can actually use. The AI assists that; it doesn't replace it.
I use the AI to draft copy or suggest a layout, then I do the real design work with the templates. The magic is the templates, not the model.
Trying to make Canva a generative studio is a mistake the product keeps making. Keep it a layout tool with smart helpers and it's unbeatable for speed.
Not every tool needs to be an AI flagship. Some just need to respect your time, and Canva does.
