Turning a messy bullet outline into a real deck with Gamma
Paste the chaos, pick a voice, then trim. Gamma is a first draft engine, not a finish line.
I had a notes app full of half-sentences and turned it into a deck in one sitting. Gamma did the layout; I did the cutting. The trick was treating its output as a draft I was allowed to butcher.
Paste your bullets into Gamma's 'from text' option. Do not prettify them. The messier the input, the more it leans on its own structure, which is usually cleaner than mine.
Pick a tone that matches the room. A board update and a team retro are different voices, and Gamma will happily write both if you tell it which. I set this before generating, not after.
Then delete. Gamma adds slides that repeat your point. I cut every duplicate and any slide that just wraps up by restating the title. A shorter deck that lands beats a complete one that drones.
Export to PPT only when I need to present inside their system. Most times the share link is enough, and it saves the formatting fight.
