The 'AI agent' pitch finally did something useful

I went in expecting to hate the tool after the marketing wore on me.

For two years 'agent' meant a demo that booked a fake restaurant. Dots is the first one I'd point at a real chore.

I expected Dots to be another toy. Giving it a cloud computer and 4,000 app connections changes the math.

The catch is trust: an agent that emails vendors on your behalf needs guardrails you actually read.

Verdict: useful for the repeat work, scary for the open-ended stuff. Keep the human in the loop on money.
