Set a team style guide in Grammarly

One person's 'professional' is another's 'stiff.' A shared style guide stops Grammarly from fighting your team's actual voice.

Grammarly's suggestions default to a generic standard that may not match how your team writes. The style guide feature lets you define the rules so corrections push everyone the same direction.

Start with a few high-impact rules: serial comma on or off, banned words, preferred tone. Don't codify everything at once or people will ignore the guide entirely.

Write the guide in the team's voice, not HR's. 'We write like a knowledgeable colleague' beats a list of don'ts nobody reads.

Roll it out on one channel first, like customer emails, and watch the suggestions. If the guide fights the real work, adjust it rather than blaming the writers.

Revisit quarterly. Language drifts, and a style guide written a year ago will eventually sound like a different company.
