The key was a consistent voice setting per chapter and a light edit pass for the sentences that tripped the model, long lists, unusual names. Most chapters needed one regen, not ten.
It's not a human narrator, and a picky listener will notice, but for a draft I wanted to experience before paying for a studio, it was perfect. I heard pacing problems I'd never catch reading.
