Building a Deck From a Spreadsheet in Gamma
Nobody reads your survey sheet. Paste it in, demand one insight per slide, and keep your own charts.
I had a sheet of survey results nobody read, so I pasted it into Gamma with the instruction 'make a 6-slide story, one insight per slide, no made-up numbers.' The model pulled the real figures and laid them out.
The first draft put three insights on one slide and zero on another. I used Gamma's inline edit to split the crowded slide and drop the empty one, which took a minute and beat regenerating.
Its charts are decent but generic, so I swap the hero chart on the title slide for a cleaner one from the sheet itself. The data is mine; Gamma just dressed it.
Export to editable format before you present, not the web view, if wifi is shaky. I've been burned by a live render stalling mid-talk, and the download takes ten seconds.
