Otter Turns a Call Into Notes I Can Actually Find
The live caption is the feature. The fake action items are the trap.
I let Otter caption a client call live so I stopped scribbling and listened. After, the transcript was searchable -- I found the one number we agreed on in seconds.
The auto-summary invents action items nobody said. I ignore it and write my own three tasks from the transcript. The captions are real; the conclusions are not.
Tip: name the speaker profiles once. Mixed-up speakers make search useless later.
Use Otter for capture and search, not for the to-do list. You own the actions; it owns the record.
