Otter Transcribes My Interviews, but the Quotes Still Need Me
Auto transcription is 80 percent there. The last 20 percent is where the real work lives.
I record every interview in Otter so I'm not scribbling. The transcript is searchable while we talk.
After, I search for the three words that matter to my piece and read around them. That beats reading the whole thing.
Speaker labels drift, so I rename speakers the moment the call ends, before I forget who said what.
Otter's summary is a starting point I rewrite. It flattens tone, and an interview is mostly tone.
Treat the transcript as raw material, not a draft, and the piece writes itself faster.
