Surfer Found the Internal Links My Post Was Missing

Surfer's content editor flags terms your other posts cover but don't link. That's free authority you're leaving out.

I ran a new post through Surfer and noticed it suggested internal links to three older articles I'd written on the same terms. I'd never connected them. Those links keep readers on the site and tell search engines the cluster is real, and I'd been leaving that on the table.

The move is simple: in the editor, accept the internal-link suggestions where they fit naturally and skip the ones that read as forced. Surfer finds the candidates; you decide if the sentence wants a link. Forced links hurt more than they help, so I'm picky.

The result over a month was a tighter cluster where every post points to its neighbors. That's the kind of structure search rewards and readers appreciate, and it took minutes per post because the tool did the remembering.

If you publish regularly and your posts feel like islands, let Surfer surface the bridges. The links were always there in your archive. You just weren't connecting them.
