I Turned a 20-Page PDF Report Into a Deck in an Hour With Gamma

Monthly report, twenty pages, zero chance anyone reads it. I dropped the PDF into Gamma and asked for a ten-slide version a non-expert could follow. An hour later I had something I actually presented.

The first pass was too long and too proud of itself. The fix was a second prompt: cut to the three decisions this drives. Gamma reshuffled and dropped the throat-clearing. That instruction, not the tool, is the real skill.

Images were auto-suggested and mostly on point; I swapped two that missed. The export was clean enough for the meeting, though I would avoid relying on it for a board deck where every number is contested.

It did not make me a better thinker. It made me a faster one. The report still needed me to decide what mattered; Gamma just stopped me from rebuilding the slide grid by hand.
