So I now have Claude generate five variants of the brief with explicit 'no text, no watermark' instructions, which cut my rejected generations roughly in half.
Where Midjourney genuinely loses is anything with words in the frame. I stopped fighting it and let Claude draft the caption and the landing-page copy instead. Midjourney does the hero; Claude does everything with letters.
Verdict: stop comparing them. Use Claude to think and write, Midjourney to render. The skill isn't choosing, it's writing briefs the image model can't quietly ignore.
