AI Wrote My Cover Letter and the Hiring Manager Yawned
Polished, generic, and forgettable. The opposite of what a letter needs.
I let a model write a cover letter and it was smooth, sincere-sounding, and completely interchangeable.
It listed my skills like a brochure and avoided any real reason I wanted this specific role.
I rewrote it with one concrete story about the company's product, and the reply rate changed.
The model writes the you it thinks employers want. The letter needs the you that applied.
Use it for the format, not the feeling. The feeling is the only part that gets read.
