ElevenLabs cloned my voice from about ten minutes of clean reading. The result was unsettlingly close.

I used it to narrate a short book I'd written, because I didn't want to sit in a booth for six hours.

The pacing is better than my real reading, which is either a win or a sign something's off.

I kept a disclaimer in the description. A voice that isn't yours deserves one.

For a personal message I'd still record myself. The clone reads as fake the moment it's intimate.
