The Context Window Is the Feature That Actually Changed My Work
Everyone compares chatbots on prose quality, and that's the wrong axis for most real work.

For me the number that matters is the context window. Claude holds a long document's thread, Gemini 4 Argon now pushes a million-token output, and GPT-6.1 Sol stretched to over a million input tokens. That's what lets me drop a contract or a spec and ask a specific question without losing the plot.
The free-tier and cheap models still cap you, and that's the real divide now. The expensive tier isn't smarter per sentence; it just doesn't forget the file you gave it ten minutes ago.
I stopped asking 'which chatbot is best' and started asking 'which one can hold my whole task at once.' It's a narrower, more useful question.
Benchmarks will keep chasing cleverness. I'll keep chasing memory, because memory is what turns a chatbot into a coworker.
