Why I stopped asking ChatGPT to be my memory
A small, true opinion about ChatGPT from someone who uses it daily.
The marketing says one thing. My Tuesday says another.
ChatGPT handles almost any task you throw at it without complaining, and I lean on that more than the feature list.
The moment it let me down was specific: still makes up a fact when you least expect it. That's the kind of failure you remember.
What changed my habit wasn't a new model. It was realizing I'd stopped double-checking, and the one time it mattered, it showed.
The tool isn't the problem. The habit around it is.
