The easy part, Descript lets you cut audio by deleting words in the transcript. warned me my mic was 'breathy'
Neither is clean. Leonardo AI the daily token cap bites mid-project. Descript overdub drifts when the sentence is longer than ten words. You feel both within a day.
My call: Descript for 'podcasters and video editors who hate the timeline' -- it's the one I trust there. Leonardo AI takes 'game and product mock art', where its quirk matters less. Plenty of people flip this; I didn't, because the failure mode of Leonardo AI costs me more.
Good enough that I'll reach for it next time.
