Neither is clean. Scite smaller corpus than a full database search. Descript overdub drifts when the sentence is longer than ten words. You feel both within a day.
My call: if your work is 'literature checks before you cite', Scite wins and I'd stop looking. Descript fits 'podcasters and video editors who hate the timeline' better, and I'd hand it the repetitive jobs. I use both, but Scite gets the serious sessions.
I'd run it again, then check every line myself.
