On price, ElevenLabs has a free tier and a $5 plan that runs out fast, while Midjourney starts at $10 and lives in Discord by default. For someone who bills clients, that's the real decider.
ElevenLabs produces speech you have to double-check isn't a real person. Midjourney won't put legible text in a frame to save its life - that gap showed up the moment I needed a citation.
Midjourney produces the most beautiful, least generic images out there. ElevenLabs will refuse or watermark a clone unless you jump through consent hoops. Neither is broken; they argue about different things.
If you anyone shipping voiceover without a microphone, keep ElevenLabs. If you artists who care about the look, Midjourney is the one. I landed on Midjourney after a week of switching back and forth.
