Neither is clean. Tome export to PowerPoint mangles the layout. Gemini free tier now auto-picks the model and quietly drops to Flash-Lite. You feel both within a day.
My call: Gemini for 'huge context jobs and multimodal analysis' -- it's the one I trust there. Tome takes 'pitch decks that need visuals fast', where its quirk matters less. Plenty of people flip this; I didn't, because the failure mode of Tome costs me more.
It did the job and didn't make me think.
