I made Gmail sort itself into a spreadsheet while I slept

I went in expecting to hate Zapier after the marketing wore on me.

The first automation worth building is the one that ends a daily copy-paste you already hate.

Trigger on a label, not all mail, or you'll drown in rows. I tag 'receipts' and only that flows.

Map the fields once, then test with one real email before you turn it on for everything.

Add a filter so duplicates don't pile up; Zapier will happily log the same message twice.

Turns out the result was a thing I actually use, not a screenshot I forget.
