The AI draft is the starting point, not the send button. Here is the three-pass routine that keeps it human.

Open with the one line that proves you read their site, not a template. I paste a specific detail before I touch the AI.

Ask ChatGPT for three variants, then delete the adjectives. 'Excited to help you scale' becomes 'I can cut your support tickets.'

Read the final aloud. If a sentence sounds like a conference slide, rewrite it in your own words and move on.
