Gamma Decks Don't Open in PowerPoint Until You Do This
Gamma exports a .pptx, but the fonts and a few elements need a pass before a client can edit it. Quick checklist.
I built a deck in Gamma, hit export to PowerPoint, and the client called because half the text was in a font they didn't have and one chart was a picture they couldn't touch. Gamma exports fine; it just assumes you'll clean up after.
Before sending, open the .pptx yourself and check two things. First, the fonts: Gamma uses its own, so replace them with a system font or the client sees a substitution. Second, any 'smart' element exports as an image, so if they need to edit the numbers, rebuild that slide natively.
The fix that saves the relationship is exporting a PDF too. The PDF is the source of truth for how it should look; the .pptx is what they edit. Hand both and the 'why does mine look different' email never arrives.
Gamma is still the fast way to a first draft. Just treat the export as a handoff, not a finish. Five minutes of font cleanup turns a broken handoff into a deck they can actually work in.
